M Development is apparently laying down its roots in the Gold Coast. Information about their planned development at Hotel Cedar/Cactus/Melvin Bs has already been picked up by the press and can be found here.
M Development is also applying for a zoning change for 1-15 E. Oak, 940-950 N. Rush, and 949 N. State Street. This site consists of several stores on a popular strip of Rush Street (The Denim Lounge, Alternatives, Quatrine Furniture, Tender Buttons, Chico's, Bang & Olufsen, Mondeli Lounge, Papa Milano, & G'Bani) Quite a list!!
The requested zoning change will allow for a 90,000 square foot 98 foot tall building in the heart of the Gold Coast.. Anyone know anything else about this project?

Aren't they also the ones behind the plan to demolish the Esquire and put up retail + a boutique hotel? A lot of destruction in a small area by one developer.
