Crains Chicago Business recently reported that the development known as the Parkside at Old Town "sidestepped default" thanks to intervention from the City of Chicago. Unlike other developers who are struggling in the current economic downturn, the additional $3.4 million injection from the City shows that Mayor Daley is committed to this project.
Parkside of Old Town is a mixed income condominium development that is the centerpiece of the transformation of the infamous Cabrini Green Housing Project into a community that Chicago can be proud of.
