This afternoon I got the chance to join Belgravia Group in the grand opening of their new development at 565 W. Quincy (Quincy is a small street between Jackson & Adams). 565 Quincy is comprised of an office building that will be converted to lofts with new construction residences to be built above (Reportedly designed by Pappageorge/Haymes). Units officially went on the market this morning with a bunch having already sold!
As you can see from the pictures the location sells itself being next door to Union Station, walking distance to the loop, and merely blocks from Greektown and everything in the west loop. Delivery on this building won't be until 2009-2010(!!), and you can lock up your unit for 10% down. 
Other amenities in this building include 24 hour doorman, indoor parking, private bowling alley & putting green, entertainment room and more. Prices start at $190k for Junior 1 bedrooms and move up from there. This is an attractive buy because the developers have limited their sales to investors..which assures you that you won't see a bunch of units dumped on the market in 4 years (although you can still buy as an investor for a limited time.)
